Spring Fling

Crop Top: Forever 21
Button Up: Mossimo
Shorts: Lover's + Friends
Wedges: Kork Ease
Bag: Merona

It's hard to find something that can beat a good pair of cut-off's. I am really into this high waisted style by Lovers + Friends because they have that classic worn in look and they make the bum look tone.

Laguna Beach

Dress: Holding Horses via Anthropologie
Boots: Frye via Nordstrom
Sunnies: RayBan
Choker: Vintage

Location: Montage Resort in Laguna Beach

There are many beautiful beaches in California, but the coves in Laguna are by far the best in the south.

This dress by Holding Horses is really comfortable and light. Perfect for those hot days that are approaching in the near future.

Cappy Captain

Shirt: Merona
Button Up: Merona
Shorts: Catalina Island Vendor
Shoes: Kork-Ease
Hat: Vintage
Sunglasses: Ray Ban

It's nice to be on the water on days like this. Being on the ocean makes me realize how much I would love to live on a sail boat, waking up in different ports all over the world. I think that would be exciting. Until then, I guess I should sign up for some sailing lessons.

This outfit is all about comfort. I just got this v-neck tee from Target for five dollars. I bought it in a large so it fits comfortably and allows length to tie it in a little knot at the hemline. You can't go wrong with a v-neck tee shirt and shorts, but these aren't just any shorts. These are soft crochet shorts. So it just goes to show, that you should pop your head into all the little stores you pass while in other towns because that is where you find unique pieces like these. I got these shorts while in Avalon on Catalina Island and I love them. If you really want to be comfortable wear wedges. Wedges will get you through a 24 hour day with out hurting your feet.

Orange + Blue

Blouse: Mossimo
Pants: Old Navy (Boyfriend Jeans)
Shoes: F21
Belt: Target
Jewelry: Old Navy
Bag: Dooney & Bourke

Location: Berth 55, Long Beach

I think I'm starting to find my everyday uniform. A good pair of distressed boyfriend jeans are all I've been wanting to wear lately with a lightweight blouse or a tee shirt.

Fern Dell- Griffith Park Hike

There in the midst of the trees of Griffith Park, not too far from the trails of Fern Dell stands a darling cafe. As you walk up to the wooden bijou cottage you can smell the freshly baked pies and scones inside the kitchen that serves locals and hikers.
I ordered the iced coffee and Madison ordered the iced chai. The pre-hike drinks were delicious and just what the day called for.
The apple pie was warm and flavorful. The freshly whipped cream was just the right touch to our pre-workout snack.
The Fern Dell hike is a stunner. After deciding to try it out based off the news of the Trails cafe alone, I was surprised to find that the hike is actually majestic as well. As you begin the hike there is plenty of shade from the canopies of the trees growing along the trail. We took the path to the left because a passerby had told us it would be less steep. About ten minutes into the trek the first beautiful landmark you see is a flirtatious glimpse of the Griffith Observatory in-between the trees. Later, as you approach higher altitudes you can see the Hollywood sign to the left nestled high upon the hill. To the right, off into the distance are the tall skyscrapers of Downtown Los Angeles. Above, is the Observatory and if you have your back to it you can see clear out to the Pacific Ocean.
